What's new?

Auto insurance for all British Columbians is now under the new Enhanced Care.

Former system

Yearly rate increases due to rising legal costs
Up to $300,000 in care and recovery
Up to $740 per week in wage loss payments
Future care paid for in a one-time settlement
Can sue for compensation only if not at fault

Enhanced Care

Drivers save approx.. 20% and have more stable rates
No maximum limit in care and recovery
Up to 90% of net income in wage loss payments (max $100,000 gross income)
Care when you need it for as long as you need it
No legal action, except in Criminal Code offences

Basic coverage

This is mandatory coverage for your vehicle in BC.

Up to $200,000 of basic vehicle damage coverage when you are not at fault.
Third Party Liability coverage of $200,000 if you are driving out of the province or there is non-vehicle property damage.

We recommend to add optional coverages to your Autoplan policy for the most complete protection.

Optional coverage

More protection added to your basic coverage.

Extended Third-Party Liability

protects you from financial risk of an at-fault crash.

Collision

cover repair costs to your vehicle even if you are at fault.

Comprehensive

cover non-collision damages such as theft and vandalism.

Hit and Run

if you don’t purchased Collision coverage, this covers vehicle repairs or replacement costs caused by an unidentified driver who leaves the scene of the crash.

tops up the Enhanced Care income replacement benefit.

up to $500 loss of use
rental vehicle coverage with $1 million Third Party Liability, Collision & Comprehensive coverage with $300 deductible
Vehicle Travel Protection to help cover unexpected expenses due to a claim while travelling
up to $500 lock rekeying if keys are stolen (deductible applies)

Roadside Plus Package

up to $750 loss of use
rental vehicle coverage with $2 million Third Party Liability, Collision & Comprehensive coverage with $300 deductible
Vehicle Travel Protection to help cover unexpected expenses due to a claim while travelling
up to $1,000 lock rekeying if keys are stolen (no deductible)
Emergency Roadside Expense Repayment for vehicle emergencies like breakdowns, locked-in keys, and flat tires
Theft Deductible Waiver means there’s no deductible if your vehicle is stolen or shows obvious signs of an attempted theft
Destination Assistance reimburses up to $100 to help you get where you’re going immediately after a collision, theft, or vandalism incident
